Final Legacy

Original System: Atari 400/800

One of the more interesting games to be released on the Atari 400/800, Final Legacy (originally simply called Legacy), is really three different action games tied together by a strategic map.  While each of these individual games bring nothing new to the table, they make an oddly thrilling game when put together in one package.

While the Atari 5200 port was never released, it was finished and a prototype exists.  The only major difference between the two versions is that the Atari 400/800 version offers a choice between left and right handed control modes while the Atari 5200 version does not.  This is because the Atari 5200 controller already has fire buttons on both sides of the controller, automatically making it left or right handed from the start.  Another minor difference is that when pausing the game the Atari 400/800 version will say 'Option to Continue' while the Atari 5200 version will say 'Pause to Continue'.
