Missile Command

Original System: Atari 400/800

Also known as the game everyone uses to calibrate their 5200 joysticks, the Atari 5200 version of Missile Command is a direct port of the Atari 400/800 version except that the Atari copyright is missing from the title screen.  This is because the Atari 5200 already has a separate splash screen which displays the copyright before the game starts.  Although Atari could have redesigned the game to take advantage of the 5200's second fire button and keypad to closer imitate the controls of the arcade game, they chose to release the 400/800 version instead.

Interestingly a PAL prototype version of 5200 Missile Command has been found.  While the 5200 was never released in PAL territories, this prototype proves that it was indeed planned for release overseas.  The PAL 5200 version of Missile Command is the same as the NTSC version but with the scanlines and timings adjusted for PAL TVs.
