VideoArtist

VideoArtist is a very simple drawing program for the
VideoBrain. The player uses the joystick to draw simple
patterns on the screen until they grow bored and turn off the
computer. The VideoBrain could also be instructed to
create its own patterns, which is probably one of the best
features of the cart. Oddly the title screen has
VideoArtist as two words while the box, manual, and cartridge
have it as one word. The title must have been changed
sometime after the ROMs were burned but before the materials
went to printing.
Another nice feature is that the VideoBrain can
be used to generate several different video effects such as
4-way mirroring, a fountain effect, and several different
changes to line and background color. However even with
this added effects, VideoArtist isn't very impressive, even for
a primitive drawing program.
Video Artist was produced from 4-12-78 to
2-12-79 and had a print run of 2,050 cartridges making it a very
uncommon cartridge.
