This is one of only two known physical 2600 Crack'ed prototypes.
This prototype appears to be fairly complete but needs some
fine tuning and bug fixes. Interestingly the level clear
debugging mode is missing from this prototype as is the screen
freeze functionality. This was either because the programmer
was moving closer to the final release version or they had to be
removed when the game was moved from the 24K development kit to
the 16K bankswitched cartridge. There is a fatal bug in this
version where if the player moves the targeting sights on the
Rooster Ranch screen to the upper left or lower right and keeps
pushing in that direction the game will crash. Thankfully
there's no reason to do this, so don't!
This version is also missing the demos found in earlier versions.
It's unknown why these demos were removed but it could have been
due to lack of space. The programmer struggled to get them
working in previous versions so also may have been cut due to lack
of time to fix them. This prototype may be the last version
that was worked on before the project was canceled.
